What Goes Into a Mushroom Burger?

Where do you begin making a Grilled Portobello Mushroom Burger? With the most important ingredient: Portobello mushrooms!

When shopping for mushrooms, consider spending a little extra money. The mushrooms will be the main ingredient in your burger, so you’ll want as high-quality Portobello mushrooms as possible. Also, look for larger Portobello mushrooms, as they will shrink just slightly during the cooking process.

While at the store, grab a few items for the marinade, if you don’t already have these in your pantry. This includes balsamic vinaigrette, extra virgin olive oil, minced garlic, a lemon, salt and pepper, dried basil, and dried oregano.
