If you want to spend some quality time with the family or just explore the outdoors on your own, camping is one of the best (and most affordable) summer activities. 

Louisiana is one of the best states for camping and outdoor activities such as fishing, hiking, boating, hunting, and more.

For a camp near clear blue waters is North Toledo Bend State Park, situated on the shore of one of USA’s largest man made reservoirs.

If you want to try something new, head over northwest to St. Francisville to Tunica Hills Campground. 

With tent and RV camping sites and cabins, this fresh private establishment is near the Tunica Waterfalls in the Clark Creek Nature Area, where you can take a dip and cool off for an extra adventure.

18. Cajun Palms RV Resort

Fourteen miles north of I-10 in Henderson, Cajun Palms RV Resort is one of the best campsites in Louisiana, fusing the usual camping and high end amenities and services.

With 300 RV spots for use, they offer hookups that provide electricity, water and sewage for the convenience of campers with 20 feet of space between each concrete pad that allows personal space between RV’s.

If you don’t have an RV, they’ve got 65 cabins for use and 20 of which provide a great view of ponds. Each luxury cabin comes with a refrigerator, kitchen with microwave, charcoal grill and private tub.

For your entertainment, the resort has a clubhouse that can accommodate 750 people. You can make use of its DJ stage, beverage service, gym with pool view, conference room and State of the Art Theatre to enjoy your stay there to the fullest.

Camping in Louisiana During COVID-19: What You Need to Know

While the COVID-19 pandemic is far from over, you’ll still be able to visit most of Louisiana’s state park campgrounds/campsites and private RV campgrounds and go camping in Louisiana. However, keep in mind, there are some restrictions and regulations in place that you will need to follow.
