Take in the beauty while sitting along side the Lake Superior or the Gooseberry River. Camping here is like escaping into a vintage fairytale.
2) Tetegouche State Park, North Shore
A campground that has been designed by a true artist. No matter what the weather is outdoors you will not be disappointed by the views around you. In fact, if you are looking for a place to get down on one knee look no further! Hiking is a must to see the amazing Sawtooth Mountains and the wonders of the lakes that curve around the North Shore.

3) Three Rivers Park District: Baker Park, Maple Plain
Located near the Twin Cities, this campground has room to play. You can hang out at the beach for the day or take a beautiful bike ride along the open fields that enclose the campground. They do have over 200 camping sites, however you might want to plan ahead because they fill up very fast.
4) Lake Elmo Park Reserve, Stillwater
The natural elements that have been preserved make Lake Elmo campgrounds one of the most romantic camping experiences I have been able to enjoy. Each site is tucked into it’s own little world. Giving you a sense of being in a remote area. A near by beach is the perfect place for a day in the sun.
5) Fall Lake Campground, Ely
The Boundary Waters area is bursting with natural beauty. Fall Lake gives you the ability to fish, canoe and be alone in the wild with wild bears. Don’t let a little wilderness scare you away from having an experience of a lifetime.
6) Gull Lake, Brainerd
The bird watchers paradise! From the Bald Eagle, Loons and more you are sure to enjoy the skyline. If you are more of a history buff, you too will find delight in the stories behind Gull Lake. Spend the night with the top off of the tent and enjoy the many stars overhead.
7) Bear Head Lake State Park Campground, Ely
If you love nature this is your place to camp! Bears, Birds, Wolves, Otters and a Moose here and there will greet you among the trees. Great fishing is to be had in the glass like lake. Watch the sunrise together with a hot cup of coffee.
8) Flandrau State Park, New Ulm
A mix of terrain makes this campground a wonderful destination for hiking. After a full day of enjoying the trails, take a dip in the sand bottom beach. It is quite the peaceful place to relax and enjoy a cozy fire with one another.

Known for the gorgeous views of sunsets Crosslake is a lake lovers dream. Fishing, boating, soaking up the sun is just the beginning to your camping trip. Also, being so close to shopping and bike trails will definitely keep you busy.
