The campsite is also just a 15-minute drive from downtown Greenville, where you can enjoy restaurants, breweries, and live music. Sounds like the perfect recipe for an unforgettable vacation!
4. Low Country Oasis
Another adventurous option to consider is this beautiful Low Country Oasis glamping tent with room for four guests.
Situated near Dorchester and boasting a fishing pond on the property (with a dock directly off the tent!), there’s also an outdoor pool table and space for other lawn games. And at night, you’ll have the chance to enjoy some spectacular stargazing in this low light pollution area.
5. Chattooga Group Yurt Camping
We’ve been focused on glamping tents so far, but we think yurts deserve some love too! Whether you’ll be vacationing as a family or traveling with a much larger group, these Wildwater yurts near the Chattooga River could be your perfect fit.
There are five stylishly decorated yurts on the property, all with bunk beds, to accommodate up to 34 guests total. These yurts can be rented all together or individually—so a large group can rent all five of them out (did someone say family reunion?), or a smaller group can stay in just one yurt and make friends with the other guests!

For another unplugged, farm-based option, check out this cute Ridgeland Cabin on a small working farm. This glamping getaway spot will help you relax and enjoy life’s simple pleasures in the beautiful South Carolina lowcountry; the hosts encourage you to wander the grounds, pick produce, and play with their adorable goats! And at night, the stargazing in this remote area is absolutely unbeatable.
The cabin can accommodate four guests, and kids are more than welcome. However, keep in mind that this is a slightly more rustic option, and currently there is no AC in the cabin—so planning a trip for the spring or fall might be best if you’re concerned about the heat.
12. Wild Bluff on the Edisto
Wild Bluff may be one of our most picture-perfect glamping destinations on this list. This stunning, award-winning glass cabin on the Edisto River has been featured in Southern Living magazine, and it’s no wonder why; with a gorgeous wooden frame and large glass walls looking directly over the rushing river below, you’ll feel as though you’ve stepped into a paradise unlike any other.
This rental can accommodate seven guests, although only two of those guests may be under 18. The river provides ample opportunities for kayaking, canoeing, and fishing during your stay. Additionally, if you’re looking to do some sightseeing, it’s only about an hour’s drive to the beautiful and historic city of Charleston.
13. Santee State Park
While many of the options we’ve highlighted so far have been private rentals, you shouldn’t underestimate the possibility of finding fantastic glamping cabins in South Carolina’s state parks as well. Case in point: Santee State Park. A lovely area boasting two campgrounds and several fully furnished lakeside cabins is available for rent.

The camper features modern amenities, heat and AC, and a refreshing outdoor shower. The space sleeps up to four guests, with adults, infants, and children over 10 allowed; one small or medium-sized dog is also permitted.
